Prof. Dr. Ushaa Eswaran is an alumnus of Annamalai and Andhra University with Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, She obtained her Doctorate from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad for her pioneering work on Biosensors in the year 2011. She has addressed over 30 lakh people, personally counselled over 1 lakh people in choosing their careers

She is passionate in supporting social causes and assists numerous NGOs in the state. She is also the Pink Ambassador for NGO - Chennai Turns Pink promoting awareness on Breast Cancer and women centric issues. She has been a guest speaker on various television talk shows on life skills, parenting skills, social and women centric issues.
